    Blacksheep Barber Co is a trendy, modern, appointment-only barbershop located in the heart of Blyth, Northumberland. Owned and run by Davy Orr, who brings over 23 years of barbering experience, the shop is built on a strong foundation of skill, passion, and proven success. Davy has previously owned and operated a number of highly successful barbershops, including the well-known Headkase Male Grooming, earning a reputation for quality and innovation in the industry.

    At Blacksheep Barber Co, Davy is joined by Josh, and together they bring over 35 years of combined experience. Both are seasoned professionals, delivering top-tier grooming services that blend cutting-edge styles with classic barbering techniques.

    The team also includes Curtis Todd, a Level 3 qualified barber who consistently delivers sharp, high-quality cuts, and Joe, the shop’s talented junior barber. Davy 

Davy 


Davy Orr is a highly experienced barber with over 23 years in the industry and the proud owner of Blacksheep Barber Co. He has built a reputation for delivering top-quality grooming services while creating a welcoming space for clients who value style and precision.

Alongside his work in the shop, Davy is also a dedicated barbering educator, sharing his knowledge and helping to shape the next generation of barbers. He is currently progressing through the required process and qualifications to be officially recognised as a Grandmaster Barber—further cementing his commitment to excellence and continual growth within the craft.

Davy is also known for his work with SEN clients, having built a strong and loyal following within the community. He specialises in working with children with Special Educational Needs, offering a patient, understanding, and tailored approach to ensure every visit is a comfortable and positive experience.

Davy also holds a full enhanced DBS certificate, reflecting his professionalism and commitment to providing a safe, trusted environment for all clients.

With his extensive experience, refined skillset, and passion for barbering, Davy Orr continues to make a lasting impact in the industry.

Josh 

Josh 

Josh  is a highly experienced barber with over 15 years in the industry, known for his precision, creativity, and dedication to his craft. Having been trained from the age of just 16 by Davy, Josh has developed into a true master of barbering, earning a strong reputation for delivering consistently high-quality cuts and exceptional attention to detail.
Well respected by both clients and colleagues, Josh takes pride in every haircut, ensuring each customer leaves looking sharp and feeling confident. Beyond his skills, he’s also the life and soul of the shop—bringing great energy, good vibes, and plenty of laughs to every appointment.

Curtis 

Curtis 

Curtis Todd is a Level 3 qualified barber currently in his second year of his apprenticeship trained in house and also from the excellent setup at Northumberland College, he is currently continuing to refine and expand his skills across all areas of the craft. 

While he’s still developing in certain aspects, his natural ability and dedication set him apart as one to watch in the shop. 

Known for his quiet and reserved nature, Curtis lets his work do all the talking. He may not say much, but his cuts speak volumes—clean, sharp, and executed with precision. Don’t let the silence fool you… his work is deadly.

Joe

Joe is the youngest member of the Blacksheep Barber Co team, but don’t let that fool you—he’s already making serious waves. Joe began his journey alongside Josh when he had his own shop before making the move with Josh to Blacksheep 14 months ago, where he’s continued to grow under experienced guidance from both Davy and Josh.


Still only 14, Joe is at the very start of what looks set to be an incredible career. His passion, natural talent, and willingness to learn have quickly made him a hit with clients. His cuts may be just £10, but the level of skill and potential he shows is far beyond his years.

Joe might be "The Bairn" of the shop for now, but give it time—he’s one to watch and is well on his way to becoming a future powerhouse in the barbering game.
